World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Expansion
Blizzard continues the war for Azeroth with the new expansion to their immensely popular MMORPG World of Warcraft. Titled Wrath of the Lich King, the second expansion pack in the series is slated for release on November 13th, 2008.
Blizzard describes the Video Game:
The Lich King Arthas has set in motion events that could lead to the extinction of all life on Azeroth. With the armies of the undead and the necromantic power of the plague threatening to sweep across the land, only the mightiest heroes can oppose the Lich King’s will and end his reign of terror for all time.
All sorts of additional content has been added, for the most part the usual stuff: More levels, more lewtz, more classes, more professions, etc. Here’s a break down:
- Increased the maximum level to 80
- Death Knight -The First Hero Class
From the description, this seems to be a plate wearing melee class that can spec for tanking or DPS. Blizzard explains how to unlock the ability to create a Death Knight:
Simply have a character of at least level 55 on the World of Warcraft account you play, and you will be able to create a new level-55 death knight of any race (if on a PvP realm, the death knight must be the same faction as your existing character). Upon entering the world, your neophyte death knight will undertake a series of quests designed to teach you your new abilities. You will be able to create one death knight per realm, per account.

- New Inscription Profession
- New Continent
-Northrend, home of the Lich King
-Dragonblight
-Grizzly Hills
- New Dungeons
- The Nexus
-Home of the blue dragonflight and Malygos.
- Utgarde Keep
-An impervious fortress occupied by the savage vrykul.
- The Nexus
- More Player Customization
-More options to change how your players looks, such as hairstyles and dances. - Destructible Buildings and Siege Warfare

This expansion comes in two flavors, the normal and the Collector’s Edition. You can check them out below at Amazon, or in stores November 13th.
